I want to do a LGBT blog basically with a focus on current advertisements and media campaigns that pertain to the LGBT community. I am not sure what to model it after. anyone have any good LGBT blogs they like?

“I just had to delete the plain old default text for these things. I can only imagine how many of these you get in a day of the same damn email! it would make me crazy. and I doubt you will read what I have to say and I doubt I will get a reply. But what I have to say has to be said.
I now am a 21 year old gay man living in your district of Massachusetts. I grew up in this state my entire life and attended public schools here. Throughout my Elementary and Middle School career I was teased and bullied horribly. I was called gay often (yet never really knew it myself just yet). It got to the point where I often considered ending my own life. My mother has always been supportive of me and needless to say, without her, I would not be the strong individual I am today. But I know there are children out there who take abuse like this daily and do not have a strong support system as I do. All too often we hear of teen suicides over bullying and unfortunately in our own state (I refer you to the Phoebe Prince case).
Something must be done to stop bullying completely and especially bullying about sexual orientation and gender identity. No child should ever not feel safe in school!! Schools should be LGBT friendly and most schools lack such an environment. I do not want other generations to have to go through the bullying I went though as a child. Please support the Student Non-Discrimination Act!

Marketing Campaign of the Day: New Era launched a new ad campaign today, which features John Krasinski as a die-hard Red Sox fan engaging in some exponentially trashier trash talk with loyal Yankees supporter Alec Baldwin.

There’s An App For Hate of the Day: Exodus International, a nonprofit Christian organization that employs questionable tactics to promote “a healing alternative to those with homosexual tendencies” through Jesus Christ has launched a free iPhone app that updates users on the latest news from the world of “homosexual healing.”
Not surprisingly, Apple’s approval of the “ex-gay app” has been met with criticism from LGBT groups who argue that Apple violated its own guidelines by granting a “no objectionable content” rating to a “hateful and bigoted” app.
Apple’s app guidelines released in September last year detailed rules on how the company decides what can and cannot be sold through its store: “Any app that is defamatory, offensive, mean-spirited, or likely to place the targeted individual or group in harms way will be rejected,” the company states.
Meanwhile, on the Exodus International blog, the comments are pretty great: “I love this app, it is perfect for me as a bisexual transsexual person. Perhaps someday God will love me, wait he already does because in the Bible it says to not judge people.”
